Topic

Following a well-established tradition, the German Ethics Council has invited the ethics councils of France (Comité consultatif national d’éthique, CCNE) and the United Kingdom (Nuffield Council on Bioethics) to a trilateral meeting in Berlin on 8 November 2012.

Together with its guests from France and the United Kingdom, the German Ethics Council discusses current developments in the field of bioethics and regarding the cooperation at the European level, including the following topics:

  • Mitochondrial transfer for the treatment of hereditary disorders (Nuffield Council)
  • Latest developments in neurotechnologies (Nuffield Council)
  • Handling of data in connection with egg and sperm donation (Nuffield Council)
  • Dementia and self-determination (German Ethics Council)
  • Intersexuality (German Ethics Council)
  • Genome research and predictive medicine (CCNE)
  • Neuroimaging and neuroenhancement (CCNE).
