Topic

Following a well-established tradition, the German Ethics Council has invited the ethics councils of France (Comité consultatif national d’éthique) and the United Kingdom (Nuffield Council on Bioethics) to a trilateral meeting in Berlin on 21 October 2016.

In dialogue with the guests from France and the United Kingdom, the German Ethics Council discusses current developments in the field of bioethics and regarding cooperation at the European level.

This meeting focuses on the topic of genome editing, its use in plants and animals as well as specifically in humans.
