On 23 May 2025, the annual trilateral meeting of the ethics councils of France (Comité Consultatif National d’Éthique) and Great Britain (Nuffield Council on Bioethics) took place with the members of the German Ethics Council – this year in Berlin.

The ethics councils exchanged views on current projects and presented their work in selected areas. Subsequent discussions focused on how the different target groups in all three countries can best be reached and which latest developments in the field of bioethics should to be taken into account.

The topics selected were “neurotechnology”, “climate change” and “impact assessment”.
