Prof. Dr.

Achim Wambach

ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research

“The German Ethics Council addresses complex issues that require careful consideration. Economics, as the science of distributing scarce resources, has much to contribute in this regard. In recent decades, the methods and findings of empirical economics, behavioural economics and the scientific field of institutional and market design have evolved significantly. I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute these scientific findings and my experience from advisory bodies in academic institutions and political consulting to the interdisciplinary work of the Ethics Council.”
