On 16 May 2019, the German Ethics Council invites the members of the German Bundestag to the 9th Parliamentary Evening. At the start of this event, the Chair of the German Ethics Council, Peter Dabrock, will hand the annual report 2018 to the President of the Bundestag, Dr Wolfgang Schäuble. In the course of the evening, the Council will present the Opinions “Intervening in the Human Germline”, “Benevolent Coercion - Tensions Between Welfare and Autonomy in Professional Caring Relationships” and the Ad Hoc Recommendation “The Challenges of Providing Care for Rare Diseases”. In addition, the ongoing work of the Ethics Council on the Opinion “Vaccination as a duty?” will also be the subject of discussion.
