The National Ethics Council on the Internet

The National Ethics Council has been accessible on the Internet since the beginning of August. The address is www.nationalerethikrat.de

In addition to a list of members of the Council, the website currently contains the address of welcome by the President of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, Dieter Simon, the speech delivered by the Federal Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, at the inaugural meeting, information on the Council's working meetings, and press releases. The Council can be contacted by email at info@nationalerethikrat.de

The members of the Council set great store by their work among and with the public. In consequence the use of the medium of the Internet will form an increasing part of the Council's activity and its website will be expanded both as a source of information to the public and as a forum for discussion.
